Reliable power matters for Texas growth. But not like this.
These projects overuse eminent domain to seize land from hardworking families and ranchers, mostly to benefit billion-dollar data centers, crypto farms, and big industrial users—while sticking everyday ratepayers with the bill. Tech gets outdated fast. The damage to our land, heritage, and communities lasts forever.
This violates the spirit of putting Texas families first—not corporate cronies or out-of-state money.
Similarly, oil companies have abused eminent domain for pipeline grabs, forcing landowners to surrender their property for private profit under the guise of public need. I'll crack down on this by raising the bar for "public use" in all eminent domain cases, including those involving energy infrastructure, to protect family lands from unnecessary corporate takings.
